This has been my worse experience in an apartment building. The landlady is obnoxious. She treats the tenants in an extremely unprofessional way:

I have been waiting for hours on appointments for her to show up. I have seen her lurking at the windows to see if a tenant was there. She is always disrespectful both in person and on the phone.

In my apartment, when the shared washing machine broke she didn't even acknowledge that it was broken and it took almost one month for it to be repaired. The free washing machine was eventually replaced with a machine with coins, and this was not what we agreed on signing the contract.

When I moved in, she almost forcefully filled the check-list with "good" checkmarks, even thought there were several things in the house that didn't really meet the expectations.
Also when I moved in, she went to the mail box, took all the personal mail of the previous tenant including a package and trow everything in the trash. I was astonished.

My carpet was extremely dirty when I entered the apartment, Nonetheless, she charges every tenant a non refundable $250 cleaning fee. I hope to get out of here as soon as possible. Awful experience. Do not come living here.

I have actually very positive experience living here. The rent is very reasonable in this sought after Wallingford location, it is way lower than the average Wallingford 1 bedroom rent (1.6K) with WSG included. Two times I ask for service one for the disposal replacement and one for the un-clogging the drain pipe, they came in 48 hours. (though it is my responsibility to pay some unclogging fee since was caused by my mistake as listed in the lease.) The parking fee is also very reasonable. The landlady changed a new washing machine but only charge $1.25 per wash and the dryer is free, not like the previous review, actually the lease never say the cost of the laundry fee. The landlady told me they do not guarantee if the laundry is still this cheap in the future. The building facing the street but once you close the double pane windows you don't hear the car sound. The building itself also have security camera which made me feel safe and happy living in this great neighborhood at this affordable rent.
